StS group has signed an agreement with waste management firm Veolia for a new and better system for handling of sorted waste.

As first step, the waste management practices of company's warehouse, prefabrication facilities and facade scaffolding department reorganised. The aim is both to achieve less total waste and a better recycling rate.

StS gruppen's goal is a waste reduction of fifteen percent. The agreement with Veolia is also  part of the company's efforts to become certified as a so-called "Green Responsibility" company.

Veolia will both act as a waste management consultant and be responsible for the collection of the sorted waste.
According to plan, the new waste management system will be fully operational by summer 2010.
